AUTO ACCIDENTS/PERSONAL INJURIES
In many cases, chiropractic care is your first step to feeling better. Chiropractors are among the most qualified doctors to access musculoskeletal damage to your body. This is important as many injuries may not be immediately noticeable following an accident. So it is important to be checked out. At Burres Chiropractic, we have in house x-rays that makes this kind of assessment easier. It is also a good way to document any of the injuries you may have sustained and and that may be important later on if there might be legal ramifications..
I perform professional evaluations using my expertise in chiropractic. Reports are prompt and complete and fair, weighing all aspects of an injury or incident. I can treat your problem as well, providing a physical evaluation of the effects of the incident.
After The Accident- Was I Injured? - Go to the chiropractor as soon as possible. Serious injuries do not always involve immediate pain or bloodshed. Delays of more than a week or two can slow down the healing process and may affect your personal injury case. Every person in the car, adult or child, should be checked. A physical exam and x-rays are usually done to determine the full extent of injury. Other testing as MRI or CT scans and referrals to specialist may also be needed and can be accomplished by our office.
My Car Is Damaged - Auto damage is settled directly with the insurance company usually using Kelly Blue Book values. We recommend taking your car to your own auto body shop and not the one working for the insurance company. We can refer you to one, if you would like.
What Is A Settelment? - This is money given to you by the other person’s insurance company to compensate you for your pain and suffering for the accident that they caused. It is based 100% on the degree of injury and your medical care (as frequency and duration of treatment) as well as liability factors. You will receive this after completion of care.
How Will I Pay My Bill? - The best way is to have Medical Pay coverage on your auto insurance. You have no out of pocket expenses and it won’t be paid out of your settlement monies. Health insurance is not usually used due to policy limitations. An Attorney’s Lien is for those who have no insurance. This is a promise from the attorney to pay your medical bill at the time of settlement. This way you have no out of pocket expenses. If you need an attorney, we can refer you to one
ON THE JOB INJURIES (Work-related injuries or work comp injuries)
What is a work-related injury ? This an injury that occurs on the job or as a result of work-related exposure
What should I do when I suspect I have one? See a chiropractor promptly for a fair and honest appraisal.
Should I retain an attorney? Discuss this with your chiropractor who often works with honest and hardworking attorneys interested in your best interest.
How soon should I start chiropractic care? Don’t wait... get an evaluation and preserve your rights
Do I need other doctors? If you need another doctor, your chiropractor will know who to send you to.
